Champion Groomer

Ms Annie Goh won first place at the prestigious National Dog Groomers Association of America 25th anniversary ‘Fun In The Sun’ competition and trade show held on the 29 to 31 October 2010.

Annie Goh emerged champion in the Division C Sporting Class competing against many participants from around the world.

Goh, who is from the House Of Groomers Academy & Pet Salon in Subang Jaya, had travelled to Florida, United States, in late October for the competition.

Unlike other contestants who brought their own dogs for the competition, Goh had to groom and compete with dogs she was unfamiliar with and dogs with unsound temperament.

The most notable participants at this event were members of Groom Team USA which is made up of some of the best dog groomers in the world.

Against all odds, Goh stood out to prevail as the winner.

Judges Jodi Murphy, Chris Pawlosky, Joan Anderson and Julie Ostoski described Goh’s work as “very neat, flawless and perfect, with impressive techniques and skill, a definite winner.”

With her win, Annie Goh became the first Malaysia to win a dog grooming competition in the USA.
